Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also known as "Indian winter cherry" or "Indian ginseng," is one of the most important plants in Ayurveda.
Among the best-documented properties of Ashwagandha are stress reduction and anxiety alleviation, making it useful as an adaptogen in normalizing the nervous system's tension. However, due to its rich composition of active compounds known as withanolides, it exhibits a multifaceted nature of action, which can bring benefits related to improving cognitive function, antioxidant activity, learning and memory capabilities, supporting fertility and sexual functions, as well as enhancing performance and recovery.
Due to its synergistic action with gamma-aminobutyric acid, Ashwagandha demonstrates a mild calming effect, improving mood and concentration. The addition of zinc, lutein, and biotin stimulates the immune system and reinforces the anti-inflammatory properties of Ashwagandha.
In Ashwagandha CALM, the combination with magnesium glycinate and taurine aims to strengthen the calming effects and facilitate sleep.
KSM-66 Ashwagandha® is the most thoroughly researched form with the best bioavailability, produced using unique and patented extraction processes.
