Glycine is an amino acid that is a part of many proteins (including collagen) and biologically active compounds.
Haemoglobin as well as DNA and RNA are synthesised from glycine in the cells.
Glycine helps the tissues to repair in the case of various damages.
Glycine is also a neurotransmitter that produces a moderate physiological inhibitory effect in the brain and therefore has a mild soothing effect. In addition, glycine stimulates the body's detoxification (especially at night) from synthetic chemical toxins (e. g., pesticides).
