Molybdenum is a trace element necessary for the proper functioning of four important enzymes in the human body.
The main role of molybdenum in the body is to influence the activity of enzymes responsible for the breakdown of DNA and RNA, aldehydes, ethyl alcohol, and metabolism of sulfur amino acids.
Among the additional functions, it takes part in the proper absorption of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, helps in the absorption of iron and strengthens bones and teeth.
Functions of molybdenum in the human body:
- stimulates the turnover of DNA and RNA,
- helps the body to destroy various (potentially) toxic aldehydes,
- stimulates the detoxification form alcohol,
- contributes to the maintenance of the proper metabolism of sulfur amino acids.
It is not recommended to drink coffee during the treatment, as it reduces the effect of molybdenum.
